What is PowerPress

What is the PowerPress advantage over traditional barbells, dumbells and bar equipment?

For flat and incline bench presses, PowerPress loads the entire chest, including the weak spots of most strength trainers and body-builders: the inner and upper pectoralis muscle origins near the sternum, clavicle, upper costals, and external obliques.

For both in-front and behind-the-head shoulder presses, PowerPress intensely engages more of the shoulder muscle group, evenly loading the anterior, middle, and posterior deltoid fibres, along with the trapezius and other minor muscles.

PowerPress delivers this optimized training effect while requiring 50% less weight, minimizing strain on upper body joints and tissue. Powerlifters who typically press over 500 lbs, can obtain a superior work-out using less than 250 lbs with PowerPress. The average person will experience the most compete chest and shoulder workout with less than 100lbs on the bar.

Has PowerPress been tested?

PowerPress has undergone a variety of testing and trials throughout the product development process. During its prototyping phase, PowerPress was tested by many target users including; Strongmen, Body Builders and weight training professionals. Their feedback resulted in tweaks to the design, look and feel of the PowerPress.

In the fall 2012, the PowerPress prototype was launched for intensive testing at the 100% Raw National Bench Pressevent, where documented footage of hands-on trials of the PowerPress was conducted with members of Canada’s professional Bench Press and fitness communities.
